Huawei’s next foldable, the Pura X2, is generating buzz with fresh leaks suggesting significant upgrades — including bigger inner and cover displays compared with its predecessor. If the rumors hold true, the Pura X2 could push wider-format foldables further into the mainstream in early 2026.
🔍 Bigger, Wider Displays Expected
According to recent leaks, Huawei is planning to enlarge both the inner main screen and the external cover display on the Pura X2. Early reports suggest the inner display could grow to around 7.5 inches while retaining the distinctive 16:10 aspect ratio that made the original Pura X feel more like a mini-tablet when unfolded.
The original Pura X featured a 6.3-inch inner panel with the same 16:10 ratio and a 3.5-inch outer cover screen — itself wider than cover panels on many vertical foldables. The upcoming Pura X2 aims to expand on this concept with an even larger external screen, making tasks like notifications, media control, and quick interactions more useful without unfolding the phone.
📱 What Else Is Expected
Leaks also point to Huawei equipping the Pura X2 with a new Kirin 9030 chipset, offering a performance uplift over the first generation, and possibly even a 200MP camera setup on select models — a first for Huawei’s foldable lineup.
